This yogurt garlic sauce recipe is like the better half of that grilled chicken and salad. It’s the apple of the eye of this amazing sweet potato moussaka skillet and it goes with pretty much everything. It’s similar to tzatziki, but even simpler and it’s super easy to make. Three ingredients and about two minutes of your time. That’s all the resources you need! The sauce is gluten-free, keto and low-carb.

Easy Yogurt Garlic Sauce Ingredients

Now, let’s get specific, here’s what you need:

  • Plain Greek Yogurt. You can use full-fat, low-fat, whatever you like. Just keep it non-flavored. I lately like sheep yogurt a lot – it’s very rich and creamy. But any kind will do in this yogurt garlic sauce.
  • Garlic. To me the star of this little healthy recipe!
  • Salt. Simple, but a must to make the flavors really pop!

How To Make The Yogurt Garlic Sauce

I’m pretty sure “cooking” doesn’t get easier than this. You basically put some yogurt into a small bowl, then add minced garlic and salt and mix them all together! It seriously takes 2 minutes.

The only three reasons I sometimes skip this sauce at dinner time are when 1) I’m making something Asian-inspired, something with pesto or with cheese (I find the flavors don’t complement each other), 2) I don’t have any yogurt 3) I don’t want to clean the small bowl (in that case I often make the sauce right in the yogurt container).
